Kingdom Citizenship (Part 2) Teachers: Bob Jones & Kevin Smith For too long, too many followers of Christ have lived beneath their Kingdom inheritance. They are saved and set up for eternity in Heaven, yet they continue to live defeated and unfulfilling lives on Earth. This class will present a biblical blueprint for what it looks like to live as an empowered Kingdom citizen. Learn to identify and access your royal rights as a citizen of God's Kingdom, exercise your authority as an ambassador of Christ in your sphere of influence, and change atmospheres around you with the climate of Heaven.
Deep Dive: 1, 2, 3 John Teacher: Andrew Aube The letters written by the apostle John focused on two simple words that define our lives and actions: love and truth. These letters are full of insights and direction along with warnings and encouragement, and this deep dive will remind us of the life-changing power in the gospel message. Key themes include:
Our obedience in faith keeps us in fellowship with God.
God will forgive our sins.
We can measure any truth by where it places Jesus in relation to God.
God's love and Christ's victory are the Christian's inheritance.
Effective Prayer Teacher: LaTausha Askew Learning how to pray effectively is one of the most important things a believer can do. This course, based on the writings and testimony of Kenneth E. Hagin, will feature many principles of prayer found in the Bible including how to pray using the scriptures and promises of God, guarding your mind, and standing on faith and thankfulness. If you have ever questioned your ability to pray or want to grow your prayer life, join us for this class!
Interpreting the Parables Teacher: Erin Carrell There are many examples of parables throughout the Bible (Old and New Testament) taught before, during and after the time of Jesus. We often think of parables as moral lessons, but they were usually about a radical new value system brought about by the Kingdom of God. This class will dive deeply into these stories that captured biblical audiences with hidden and not-so-hidden presentations of God’s upside-down kingdom.
Pathway Press Teachers: Calvin Owens, Mark & Joan Salter Oasis has followed this seven-year series from the Church of God’s One Accord/Pathway Press Curriculum for the past several years. The lessons are life-related and Pentecostal/Evangelical in perspective. Topics for this quarter: The Book of Job and Letters to the Thessalonians.
